How long does it take?

From a prepared file to a completed transfer, four to nine months is normal for a small online company. The distribution is uneven: marketing and first talks move quickly, and the investigation and contract stage take longer than anyone expects.

Preparation sits outside that period and is the part that can be shortened only by starting earlier. A company that is not ready adds months before it can even be shown.

Processes that run much faster usually involve a buyer who already knew the business. Processes that run much slower usually involve a file that was incomplete at the start.
